Project Overview

The VIP Program is designed to provide specialized theological education for visually impaired
individuals, leveraging unique teaching methods to enhance their learning experience. Scheduled to begin
on January 29, 2025, and run through December 17, 2025, classes will be held both in-person at our
facility in Palm Bay, Florida, and online via Zoom, ensuring accessibility and flexibility for students.
Under the expert guidance of Dr. Julia Shoy-Clarke and Lloyd Pieters, participants will engage with a
curriculum tailored specifically to their needs, supported by the latest educational technology.
This project is meticulously planned to address the educational gaps that visually impaired individuals
often encounter. We focus on creating an inclusive environment where each student can thrive
academically and spiritually. Our commitment to quality assurance is reflected in our continuous
assessment methods and the dedication of experienced instructors, ensuring the program's success and
sustainability.

Program Description

The VIP Program will utilize a variety of engaging teaching methods specifically designed for visually
impaired students. Lessons will feature audio materials, tactile learning tools, and interactive discussions
to ensure comprehensive understanding and engagement. Messages will resonate with diverse
demographics, focusing on empowerment and spiritual growth. Key visuals will include accessible
PowerPoint presentations and audio-described videos where applicable, making learning inclusive.
Marketing materials will highlight our commitment to accessibility and inclusivity, featuring testimonials
from past participants to illustrate program benefits and outcomes. This approach ensures alignment with
our mission and the needs of our target audience.

Program Structure

Our program is structured to adapt to the individual learning pace of each student, with a focus on
personalized instruction and mentorship. The classes, held twice a week, allow students to engage fully
with the curriculum in an accommodating environment. The utilization of both in-person and online
platforms caters to diverse learner preferences, removing barriers to participation.
Support services are embedded within the program to ensure each student receives the guidance they
require, with instructors offering one-on-one feedback. Through a blend of group discussions and
independent study, students are encouraged to explore their learning journey, fostering both independence
and community connection.

Program Goals

The VIP Program aims to create a transformative educational environment where visually impaired
students can thrive. Through our targeted curriculum, we seek to improve students’ theological
understanding and personal development, preparing them to become impactful community leaders.
Central to our program’s success is the belief that every student can excel when given the right tools and
support. We aim to cultivate a learning community that values diversity and inclusion, supporting
individuals as they navigate their spiritual and educational journeys.
